Tenants

We want to find you, your perfect home

Whilst searching for your property online, take a minute, grab a coffee and get in touch with us. Great properties don’t always make our portals due to the huge demand in the rental sector . We want to get to know you personally and what you are looking for.

Viewing

Finding a property you like the look of online is the first exciting step in your journey, however, nothing beats getting the real look and feel  . Make sure you view all the properties you are interested in. Book a viewing with us and make sure you see what each property has to offer, you can then make an informed decision about the property whilst we fill you in on the finer details of the home and what it’s like to live in the area.

Moving in

Once we have prepared the property for you we will carry out a pre-tenancy check to ensure the property meets our high standards. We will meet you at a pre-agreed time to check you in to your new home. Shortly after you move in we will email you with details of your personal property manager who you can contact during your tenancy, along with copies of the gas safety certificate, energy performance certificate, lease agreement, tenancy deposit scheme certificate and the check-in report detailing the condition of the property the day you moved.

Who to contact

We are here to help you enjoy your new home. Your property manager will have visited your property in person several times and likely have managed it for some time. This familiarity helps us ensure we can help you with queries you have in your new environment. If we are not able to help you over the phone or via email, we are always happy to visit.

The Journal of an (exceptional) Tenant

We love to match quality Landlords, beautiful homes and exceptional Tenants. Our Tenant Q & A gives us great insight into what attracts people to their next home and what is important to them when choosing their property.

Q&A with Katie Kitching Events Manager

Katie has been renting in Sussex for 14 years . With a love for all that the ever-eclectic Brighton has to offer, Katie has handpicked some beautiful Regency properties to call home over the years.

Q1) Katie, could you tell us what first attracted you to Sussex?

I returned to England after living abroad and really wanted to be by the sea. I loved that Brighton was multicultural, offering a huge selection of restaurant cuisines, local arts and festivals. There is always something to see and do here.

Q2) We have seen some of the gorgeous properties you have lived in, what are your property must haves?

The location is important. Brunswick Town and Seven Dials are two of my favourites. The Regency architecture make it a beautiful place to live all year round. The wide streets create a lot of natural light into the buildings. Every property has individual features which makes each home unique, which I love.

Q3) When choosing your property, how important is the agent you work with and why?

It’s the most important. I would only look at properties with a trusted agent that give a high level of customer care, friendly staff and are easy to communicate with. Also an agent that supports the tenant as well and the land lord.

Q4) If you could give two pieces of advice to Tenants looking a new home, what would that be?

As before, picking the right agent. Make sure the agent use correct processes : Your pre reference deposit is secure and ensure read the refund policy if needed. Your tenancy contract meets government guidelines and your deposit is in a secure deposit scheme. I would only pick a property that was managed by the agent.
